Andrèa left Switzerland and relocated to none other than Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the all-American college experience. Well, he ended up with so much more than that. Andrèa met Julia at the University of Alabama. They were both on the swim team and both very much kindred adventurous spirits. After dating and becoming best friends over 7 years time, the inevitable happened, Andrea proposed and Julia said yes! Both family’s overwhelming response was “FINALLY!”
Walking Bourbon Street always feels a little like being a part of live theater that you didn’t rehearse for.
Louisiana resonates with the couple because that’s where Julia’s parents’ first met many years ago and was also Andrèa’s parents’ first landing in the US.
The couple reserved rooms for all the guests at the beautifully remodled Royal Sonesta Hotel. Right on Bourbon street, in the heart of New Orleans, friends and family were able to soak in the raw N’awlins experience!
And just before the rehearsal dinner, how could we not have a little fun with a pre-wedding day mini session on NOLA’s most famous (or should i say, infamous) strip. Then, two families from two different countries, cultures and traditions joined together as one and started the weekend celebration at Brennan’s fine dining restaurant.
Oak Alley Plantation, about an hour outside of New Orleans, was the perfect venue to meld these two into wedded bliss among the outreaching arms of the magnificent oaks. Their love for nature and for each other runs as deep as these centuries old root systems and it was indeed a fairy tail setting for this elegant event complimented by the cajun cuisine. Julia and Andrea were surrounded by 50 of their closest friends and family who gladly traveled near and far for their intimate wedding day celebration.

This beautiful Rolls Royce drove them away into forever with each other.
After their grand glow stick and bubbles send off, these two were off to St. Lucia for the much rest and relaxation they needed. Well, that is if you call scuba diving and exploring restful, then sure!
Both before “i do” and after, the couple enjoys scuba diving, motorcycle riding, and joy rides in the jeep with their 2 fur babies of the K-9 resemblance. For the more low key evenings at home, they share a love for cooking and nurture their own little garden for fresh dishes and inspired recipes. Dinner may be followed with a carefree stroll along the creek that flows nearby.
They continue to live “Happily Ever After”.
